welcome

Hey everybody. Thanks for checking out my new blog home.  I'm really glad you came.  I loved my baby "starter blog", CoffinConfections, but I felt stuck.  I started to think about opening up an Etsy shop, and came to the conclusion that the name of my blog didn't really attract the type of audience I wanted to target.  See, I thought that the CoffinConfections name was a cute play off of my last name, but in reality, most people who don't know me would probably assume it was some kind of vampire baking blog, and pass up clicking on my button or link.  Followers were never much of an issue when the blog was only going to be used as my personal scrapbook, but now that I have a bigger focus & dream, it seems like a smarter thing to do.  Besides, I felt a little trapped by the personal nature of my old blog.  I was lost, writing about whatever I pleased.  It was great until I couldn't decide what to write about.  You see, when you have every option in the world open to you, it seems really intimidating.  I've learned a lot through blogging for a year & a half now, and I'm really excited to put more effort into consistent posting about the topics that interest me most.....food, home, & family fun.  I can't stop filling up my "blog ideas" notebook with all kinds of features & fun (not to mention my latest obsession with Pinterest)!  Eep!!  Check out my "about" page for more of what's to come.
